Kookaburra Cricket
Kookaburra is a company that is as synonymous with cricket balls as a Don Bradman with cricket itself. Kookaburra has been manufacturing the cricket balls since 1946 in Melbourne, and is one of the top manufacturers of cricket bats, gloves, leg-guards, helmets, and other cricket gear.
Kookaburra bats have found their way into the hands of the Australian skipper Ricky Ponting, and others like Michael Hussey, Brad Hodge from Australia and Owais Shah, Kumar Sangakkara and A. B. de Villiers from the rest of the world.
Kookaburra Bats
There are five main varieties of the Kookaburra bats, namely, the Kahuna bats, the Blade bats, the Genesis bats, the Beast bats and the Ice Cricket bats.

- Kahuna Bats - These bats have a thick middle profile, and an amazing strength. Usually, the thick edges also send the ball to the boundary.
- Blade Bats - This is the lighter variety of the Kookaburra bats and the batsmen can control them better.
- Genesis Bats - It has thicker edges but is lighter than other bats.
- Beast Bats - This is the heavier and the more powerful variety of bats.
- Ice Cricket Bats - It has a large lower swell and a very good balance.
Kookaburra Pads
The Kookaburra leg-guards, or pads as they are more commonly known as, are used by many an international cricketer, including Ponting. This is reflected in the fact that there is a variety of pads that is named after the Australian great, called Ricky Ponting FK850. Apart from this, there is a Blade Runner FK853, The Beast FK855 and Ice Sub-Zero FK857 for the test cricketers. Kookaburra also provides cricket pads for other levels of cricket like for kids and club cricketers.
